Oh, Philippine Science High

I have not failed thee completely. When my marketing professor asked what the stages in life are (adolescence, parenthood, retirement, etc.) I immediately thought: egg, larva, pupa, adult.

Oh, Pisay. As I "wander o'er the crests and troughs of the sea of life that flows", I may not exactly be fighting for the right or pursuing the glorious thee, but your light will always my beacon be.

  2. winner! egg, larva, pupa, adult. hahaha

i remember in college when a classmate answered "breathing in and out" as the definition for respiration, in a botany class. my eyes rolled to the ceiling and didn't roll back down til five minutes later. man, that song should go, "in pursuit of the glorious ME."

  6. may tagalog version gle ang hymn?

    PSHS Hymn (Filipino)
translated by Stephanie Balois et.al. (Batch 1999)

    Philippine Science High
    Patuloy mong itinataas
    Kaming 'yong mga anak
    Sa paglinang ng aming kakayahan

    O, Philippine Science High
    Dunong mo'y patnubay
Sa aming pangarap, sa aming hinahangad
    Na katotohanang lantay

    Philippine Science High
    Sa aming puso'y lumalago
    At sa'n man magtungo,
    Magpapatuloy sa dagat ng buhay

    O, Philippine Science High
    Liwanag mo'y tanglaw
Sa amin ay gabay sa landas ng buhay
    At dakilang minimithi
    ----

    original
    PSHS Hymn
by Mario Taguiwalo (PSHS batch 1/1968)

    Philippine Science High
Thou stands above with thy thoughts that lift
And fit all thy sons with wings
To lend us flight in the sowing of our gifts

    Oh, Philippine Science High
    Thy wisdom arms our youth
As we reach for our dreams, as we strive for our goals
As we search for the untarnished truth

    Philippine Science High
The PSHS in us will grow
And go as we wonder o'er
The crests and troughs of the sea of life that flows

    Oh, Philippine Science High
    Thy light our beacon be
In our path through the world, in our fight for the right
In pursuit of a glorious thee.

  11. hehe, dei, tama si liyatot. our grad song was supposed to be melai's composition... (sorry mels, i just had to let you remember that incident! hahaha!) But then "Change" na lang by Wolfgang.

Aaah... baccalaureate song gali ang "I Remember"? Dumduman ko lang gina tukar na sa mga bayle-bayle ta to anay! Hahaha!

And, "This Used to be My Playground"? Did we really have that song? Gosh. We're such Madonna fans.
